Fitness Friday’s: Want fast Results???

Many of us wish to look at ourself and change the way we look instantly. REALITY…we can’t!!!  In order to become a healthier person begins with what we put into our bodies and having a strong will power.  It also takes hard work and dedication, sore achy bones and muscles, and days of feeling like…you just…want…to…give…up.  When I begin a workout regimen, my mind tells me I should feel results in one workout and see them in two. LOL. Do your mind tell you the same?  Well…maybe not.  I’m sure you wish to see results in a week or two instead of months down the road right?   Right….a few weeks of achy bodies and hungry tummies is about all we can stand.  And then………we tend to linger into our old ways, but people who lose weight too soon will more than likely gain the weight back even sooner.  Slower………………………………………………. is better.

I’ve noticed that people like myself, that may be overweight by 20 to 30 pounds may have a harder time trying to shed their pounds than a person that is considered fat or obese.  They tend to lose weight much faster.  I believe it’s because their bodies is used doing little to no form of exercise versus our bodies that may receive moderate forms of exercise but not enough to cause the body to shed enough calories to lose weight.  At times I become very frustrated with my weight because I am aiming to lose weight but the scale remains the same for weeks at a time.  I am still proud of myself for shedding inches and slimming though….thus far I have shed about 3 inches off my waist since October with about 4 inches to go by Spring time.  My results won’t come fast, but when I have reached my goal I will be extremely overjoyed by the results and committment I put into changing my life.

I challenge you to stay encouraged and don’t give up on the scale when it doesn’t read the numbers you wish to see.

Fitness Friday’s: 10 pounds in 10 days….

Ok!!! Many of us are either overweight, obese or morbidly obese.  Well, I am overweight, overweight by at least 40lbs.  I know when my weight gain started when I worked in fast food and eating fast food just about everyday and even on my off days.  I am sick and tired of looking at myself in the mirror and not liking who I see.  Being overweight doesn’t look good nor is it healthy.  I don’t think that anyone wants to be fat.  Who would???? Or why would you???  Many people have learned to except the fat person they are simply because you should love you and I don’t think they believe that they can change what they look like.

Well….I know I can change what I look like on the outside and I will change it.  SO, starting, tomorrow, December 6, 2011 I am putting myself on my own, “10 pounds in 10 days” challenge to push myself to a weight loss jump start.  Now I bet you want to know, what the heck is she going to do to lose 10lbs in 10 days.  Well, honestly folks, I don’t know.  But when 10 days is up and my 10lbs are shed, I will give you the EXCLUSIVE 411 on how I did it.

I know you were thinking it, but…..ooooh no, those are not my legs. LOL

WISH ME LUCK!!! Updates coming on December 16, 2011.

Fitness Friday’s: Sexy Fitness Mama Denise Austin

Denise Austin has been an instructor for many, many years.

She looks great to be a mother of two.  She don’t have any fat on her body and her abs looks great.

I love to workout with Denise.  She keeps you looking lean, sexy, and feminine.  During my pregnancy I used her Fit & Firm Pregnancy DVD.  When I had my little one I snapped back to my pre pregnancy body only shy of a few pounds of my pre pregnancy weight.

Her Fat Blasting Yoga DVD is the bomb!!! But you can’t do it too many days in the row, your body will ache.  But you will see results and feel great!!!!!!!!! ::::))))))))))

Thanks Denise

Fitness Friday’s: Who needs a gym?

Getting in shape is hard work!!! I wanted to join the gym, but for some reason, I just hate being stuck inside those gym walls.  Walking dreadfully on the treadmill, while watching every little second creep by as I walk in that same little space,  is just not for me.  I like to have a change of scenery, to get a work out but not feel that I am working out, to do fun things like: bike riding, walking in the park, volley ball, etc, things I can do with the whole family; just have fun like I used to do when I was a kid. 🙂 Once your body is use to being lazy, like mine lol, it’s not easy to start a work out regiment and continue it if you feel that its a task.

So, now I am on a mission to do cardio at least four days per week with two of those days being spent walking the Cherokee Trail @ Stone Mountain Park.  This trail is five miles in length and takes us about 1 hour and 30 minutes to walk the entire trail.  The first time I went with my family, it took us 2 loooooooooooong hours to defeat that monster, but WE DID IT!!!  I enjoy walking in the park, it’s relaxing, soothing, and time fly by before I know it.  I have heard so many success stories from peers about how they have lost weight and are in better shape just by walking the trail two days a week.  So I decided that I can do it too and my family can join me, free of charge, in my endeavour to get in shape.

Gym membership fees?  No way.   So go out do something fun that doesn’t feel like a work out, you will more than likely stick to it than if you felt as though you are working out. “Working out is not fun, but make it fun working out.”  Build your beauty from the outside, while conditioning the inside. ::::::))))))))))))
